Rotork is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 9-month Fixed Term Contract at our Porcari (Lucca) site. You will join the Quality Department and drive robust quality controls across the site.

You will maintain the QMS, conduct internal audits against ISO 9001/ISO TS, manage CAPAs, and control documentation. You’ll work with engineering teams on-site and at other Rotork sites to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3+ years in Quality Management Systems in manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality processes.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and CI mindset.
• Collaborative across functions with proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Fluent Italian (advanced) and professional English (C1).
• Internal Auditor against ISO9001:2015.
• Understanding Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC.

This role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based at our Porcari, Lucca site.

Purpose of the Job:

The Quality Engineer is a key member of the Quality Department, facilitating growth and ensuring robust quality controls and activities across the Rotork Lucca site.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• QMS Maintenance: Developing, updating, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
• Auditing & Compliance: Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO TS) and regulations.
• Corrective Actions (CAPA): Identifying, analyzing, and investigating system deficiencies to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Documentation Control: Managing quality documentation, records, and material certifications.

Main Activities:

• Main interface of system Certificate Inspector
• Draft, update and improve the Quality Manual.
• Manage and drive audits for product certification
• Implement corrective actions in case of non-conformity after inspector audits
• Work with engineer departments (in site and in other Rotork sites)
• Owner of certifications renewal
  

Qualifications

Qualifications & Technical knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-3+ years of experience working within Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Previous experience working within an engineering or manufacturing business, with a good understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality processes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions while maintaining a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Fluent Italian (advanced level) and professional English (C1 level).
• Internal Auditor against ISO9001:2015 standard.
• Understand modern manufacturing philosophies i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC.
