Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Principal Architect to lead cross-functional teams in designing and governing enterprise cloud strategies for Telecom customers. You will work at the intersection of technical direction and business insight, influencing sales and shaping customer roadmaps.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with Value Engineering to articulate total value across solutions and drive strategic outcomes for Google's Telco customers globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent in a customer-facing role.
• 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infra, storage, platforms or data.
• Experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

• Become a trusted advisor with our largest Telecoms customers to help them adopt Google Cloud's portfolio of infrastructure and AI services.
• Secure or influence technical wins and remove complex barriers to client wins, guiding resources to expand books and meet revenue goals.
• Create leading technical solutions to transform customer Infrastructure and AI services; share learnings through the Telco community.
• Oversee collaboration with specialists, product management, and engineering to manage enterprise architecture relationships and develop telco demos.

Minimum qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience of understanding large architectures in complex organisations and building roadmaps to reduce complexity, modernize and improve legacy estates and ways of working.
• Deep Teleco experience gained through either working in the industry or serving them as a consultant or solutions engineer. Ability to lead technical selling engagements with large Teleco customers.
• A history of building trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and have the skills to quickly build customer empathy and understanding.

The Google Cloud Principal Architect role is a hybrid technical and business advisor role. In this role, you will embody executive level qualities, lead the conversation, and direct the execution of the sales team by combining both technical direction and business insight. Principal Architects partner heavily with Value Engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Cloud.

Germany: €132000 - €135000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Italy: €110000 - €112000 (EUR) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Sweden: kr1260000 - kr1290000 (SEK) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Become a trusted advisor with our largest Telecoms customers to help them adopt Google Cloud's entire portfolio of infrastructure and AI services.
• Secure or influence technical wins and remove highly complex or undefined technical barriers to client wins, overseeing additional resources to expand books and meet revenue goals.
• Create leading technical solutions to help transform our customers' Infrastructure and AI services. These solutions will be harvested and shared through the Telecommunications (Telco) community to drive additional sales and revenue. Work with the Telco GTM team to scale sales motions and enable the wider organisation.
• Manage and contribute to the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by overseeing collaboration with specialists, product management, engineering, and more and build leading edge telco demos and solutions based on Google Cloud technology.
