The Presales Electrical Engineer at Vertiv in Bologna will join an interdisciplinary team to design data center electrical power systems, combining traditional engineering with AI-driven design requirements for Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge and Critical Infrastructure facilities.

You will perform load calculations, specify LV/MV gear, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, read RFPs, and develop modular data center solutions with clear documentation and quotations.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical power systems.
• Proficiency in sizing and specification of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of load calculations, short circuit and protection coordination modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineering teams.
• Fluent English language skills.

Mansioni

• Concept design of electrical power systems and architecture for data centers.
• Include LV and MV distribution, switchgear, UPS, and busbar systems.
• Develop auxiliary systems and perform related calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, controls and fire protection teams.
• Read and interpret RFP and tender documents; prepare modular solutions.
