Job summary

Tecnimont, MAIRE's flagship company for Integrated E&C solutions, is seeking a Planning Senior Engineer to join the Project Control Department in Italy. The role focuses on planning and reporting within a project, under supervision of the Project Control Coordinator, ensuring compliance with the project execution plan, WBS and schedules.

You will coordinate the Planning team, prepare milestones plans, schedules, baselines, progress curves and reporting, review planning outputs, and support risk

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaking and writing.
• 10+ years of experience in planning or project controls.
• Proficient in project planning tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Planning team including Planning Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Prepare project control documents such as Milestones Plan, Project Summary Schedules, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Project Detailed Schedule, Baseline Schedule, Progress Curves and Reporting.
• Review planning reports, outputs and presentations.
• Perform periodic schedule control using time now technique, critical path methodology and progress forecasting.
• Support the Project Team in performing Risk Analysis by using company software.
• Interact with relevant Company Departments, Client and Vendors on planning topics.
• Train and support Planning Junior Engineers in project control tools.
• Manage planning activities in EPC projects of any size and complexity.

Tecnimont is looking for a Planning Senior Engineer to join Project Control Department

To execute the activities pertaining to planning / reporting within a project, under the supervision of the Project Control Coordinator (or Project Control Manager), in compliance with quality requirements and Project Execution Plan, WBS and Schedules.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• coordination of the Planning team, including Planning Engineers, Reporting Operators and Junior Engineers;
• preparation of the project control documents (Milestones Plan, Project Summary Schedules, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Project Detailed Schedule, Baseline Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting) of competence in compliance with the project requirements under the supervision of the Project Control Manager/Coordinator;
• reviewing all planning reports, outputs and presentations;
• performing of the periodical schedule control by means of time now technique, critical path methodology, project physical progress assessment and forecasting activities completion evidencing any deviations towards the approved baseline;
• supporting the Project Team in performing the Risk Analysis by running the appropriate company software to determine the schedule reliability;
• interaction with all relevant Company Departments, Client and Vendors representatives for the topics of competence;
• train and support Planning Junior Engineers in initializing the project control tools as per the procedures;
• manage the planning activities in EPC project of any size and complexity.

In addition he/she has to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight or preparation of technical reports and the presentation of information to Top Management and various committees

Requirements and Skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Numerate and computer literate (Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Primavera P6)
• Pro-active mentality and attitude
• at least 10 years experience in a similar position.

Contract Type and Classification

• Contract type: Permanent
• Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)

Compensation

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be € 70.000.

• The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.
• Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
