Tecnimont is seeking a Planning Junior Engineer in Italy to join the Planning Services Function. You will support WBS development, schedule preparation, and progress monitoring under guidance from the Planning Senior Engineer.

The 36-month Professional Apprenticeship includes exposure to Primavera P6, Progress Measurement, and Power BI, with good English and willingness to travel both in Italy and abroad to support projects.

Tecnimont is looking for a Planning Junior Engineer to join the Planning Services Function.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

In particular, the Planning Junior Engineer will support and contribute to the following activities during the proposal and execution phases of the Project:

• support the definition and development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), according to the indications of the Planning Senior Engineer;
• contribute to the preparation and updating of proposal and Project Schedules at different levels of detail;
• support the identification and monitoring of schedule critical paths;
• assist in the preparation and maintenance of Project Schedules, progress measurement systems and planning procedures, in compliance with contractual requirements;
• support the preparation of “what-if” and delay analyses, under the guidance of the Planning Senior Engineer;
• contribute to the preparation and update of project planning and control documents, including Milestone Plans, 90-Day Schedules, WBS, Top-Down Schedules, Project Control Schedules, Detailed Schedules, Progress Curves, Reports and Manpower Histograms;
• support the preparation and periodic issue of planning reports, outputs and presentations, including documentation for Project Review Meetings;
• contribute to the preparation of Schedule Commentaries and to the identification and reporting of potential critical items;
• support periodic schedule control activities, including the monitoring of physical progress and comparison against approved baselines;
• assist in monitoring manhour expenditure and productivity trends;
• support the identification and analysis of schedule deviations, contributing to the evaluation of possible corrective actions and alternative solutions;
• cooperate with relevant Company Departments and Vendor representatives to collect the information and data required for planning activities;
• support Time Impact Analysis activities related to potential project changes, under the guidance of the Planning Senior Engineer;
• contribute to the collection and organization of project data required for Project Close-out activities and for the development of the Company database;
• support field planning activities in accordance with Company procedures;
• assist in monitoring Construction Subcontractors’ schedules and manpower histograms, ensuring alignment with Project Milestones and Project Control requirements under the guidance of the Planning Senior Engineer;
• support the verification of construction schedule feasibility against the planned delivery of documentation, materials and information from Home Office;
• contribute to monitoring Subcontractors’ progress, resources and performance.

As a member of the Planning Department, the Planning Junior Engineer will also:

• provide feedback on issues or deviations arising from the application of planning methods, procedures and tools;
• progressively develop technical knowledge of project planning and scheduling methodologies;
• become familiar with and progressively develop proficiency in Company planning tools, including Primavera P6, Progress Measurement Systems and other relevant applications;
• actively participate in on-the-job training and knowledge-sharing activities within the Planning team.

Contract Type and Classification

• Contract type: Professional Apprenticeship (36 month)
• Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)
• Job classification level: Apprenticeship, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement

Compensation

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be € 31.041,50.

The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.

Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
