Job summary

Tecnimont seeks a Civil & Structural Concrete Engineer to join our team in Catania, Italy. The role delivers design calculations, drawings, and specifications for concrete disciplines within large-scale projects worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years in concrete design, a Civil Engineering degree (Master preferred), and proficiency in REVIT, Navisworks, and BIM360; fluent English and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 2–6 years in concrete design, petrochemical/oil&gas experience preferred.
• Familiar with European/international codes and standards.
• Proficient in REVIT modelling and Navisworks.
• English fluency required; willingness to travel up to 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Produce design calculations, reports, and specs for concrete works.
• Check drawings and documents for reinforced or precast concrete.
• Coordinate with Project Leader and Concrete Specialists.
• Assist construction departments on site as needed.
• Train and share design techniques within Tecnimont Group.

The Civil & Structural Concrete Engineer is generally assigned to a project and he/she is in charge of producing documents anddeliverables assigned by the Civil Project Leader related to Concrete discipline. He/She reports to the Civil Project Leader or to the Concrete Specialist for the peculiarities of the project and to the Group Leader / Head of Department for man-hours assignment and quality of the deliverables.

In particular main activities and duties will be:

• To guaranteethe quality of the generateddeliverables and theircompliance with thecontractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions;
• To cooperate with the Project Leader and Concrete Specialists to the coordination of the activities related to the Concrete discipline, regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers;
• To manage and issuedesign calculations reportsand specifications, tocheck drawings anddocuments relevant to reinforced concrete and/or precast concrete, on the basis given by the Group Leader, in agreement with the Civil Project Leader.
• To integrate the Concrete work design on the basis of the project data received from other engineering disciplines as instructed by the Project Leader;
• To check and approve Vendor’s document (i.e. subcontractor construction design documents);
• To guarantee assistance to the construction departments and site upon request, in reference to his area of competence, as per project needs and in coordination with the Project Leader.
• To conducttechnical training as per departmentneeds and exchangeexperience with colleaguesof the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design techniques;
• To keep himself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline;

Personal Attributes:

• Minimum Bachelor, plus Master’s degree in Civil engineering is preferred
• From 2 to 6 years of experience in concrete design, preferable in plant engineering companies in petrochemical, oil & gas, power or in a technical design office
• Good knowledge of European and international codes and standards
• Good knowledge in Autodesk REVIT modelling
• User friendly in Autodesk Navisworks
• Knowledge of collaborative environment such as ACC/BIM360
• Fluent English speaker and writer is amust
• Availability to travel for short and long period (max 3 months)

Plus: Knowledge of FEM Civil & Structural Design Software, such as SAP2000, STAADExperience in Precast and or Pre-Stressed concrete structures

Contract Type and Classification:

Contract type: Permanent Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)

Job classification level: White Collar, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement Compensation: The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be 42,000.00€

The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.

Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
