Huawei Technologies Italia S.r.l. invites applications for a Photonics Technologies Intern at our Vimodrone (MI) R&D hub.

You will join a hands-on project focused on optical communication, photonic integrated circuits, and microwave-over-fiber systems, contributing to design, simulation, and laboratory testing of high-frequency links. You will work under experienced engineers, gain exposure to COMSOL, Lumerical, and Luceda tools, and help document results for technical reports.

Competenze

• Master’s degree or above in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of photonic component design and optical communication systems.
• Familiarity with optoelectronics and lab measurement concepts.
• Experience with COMSOL, Lumerical, or Luceda is desirable.
• Strong English communication and teamwork in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to learn and perform in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Mansioni

• Assist in design and simulation of photonic and microwave-photonic components.
• Support setup and operation of optical test benches for experiments.
• Help analyze system-level optical links and test results.
• Document experimental data and contribute to technical reports.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers on ongoing R&D activities.
