Huawei Italy invites graduates and students to join its Graduate Program as a Junior Optical Telecommunications Network Engineer (Internship). This 6-month on-site program develops ICT leaders, with hands-on experience in Optical Fiber Transmission (WDM) technologies, and a pathway to full-time employment upon success.

You will work with industry experts, plan and deploy B2B delivery solutions, install telecom equipment, and collaborate with client teams to drive adoption while gaining

Work Policy & Hours:

On-site (5 days/week in office, 09:00 - 18:00)

Contract Type:

6-Month Internship (Path to Full-Time employment)

Compensation:

€1,000 gross/month + €8/day meal vouchers (buoni pasto)

About The Role & Program

Kickstart your career with Huawei Italy’s Graduate Program. This intensive 6-month internship is designed to develop the next generation of ICT leaders. You will work alongside industry experts, gain hands‑on experience in Optical Fiber Transmission (WDM) technologies, and transition directly into a full-time role upon successful completion.

Main Responsibilities:

• Solution Delivery: Plan, design, and implement B2B delivery solutions for Optical Fiber (WDM) domain products.
• Deployment & Integration: Install, configure, commission, and integrate high-performance telecommunications equipment.
• Network Optimization: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fine‑tune network configurations to maximize stability and performance.
• Technical Support & Client Engagement: Collaborate with customer‑facing teams to resolve technical issues, support project rollouts, and drive technology adoption.

Requirements:

• Fresh Graduate or Current Student enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The graduation date should ideally be approximately 6-12 months before or after the internship start date.
• Technical Passion: Strong foundational knowledge of network architecture and mobile domain technologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving abilities, adaptability, and high emotional intelligence for international team environments.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian (written and spoken) and professional working proficiency in English.
• Work Authorization: Must hold valid authorization to live and work in Italy.
