Huawei Technologies Italia S.r.l. Milan Research Center is seeking an Analog RFIC Design Engineer responsible for study, design and development of integrated circuits in a fast-paced international team.

The role focuses on high-performance analog ICs for optical transceiver modules, with Cadence design flow, SiGe BiCMOS/CMOS technologies, and opportunities to travel as needed.

Competenze

  • Master degree in Engineering; PhD beneficial
  • At least 10 years in analog/RFIC design with hands-on IC experience
  • Experience with Cadence Design Framework for analog/RF design
  • Creative problem solving for high-performance analog ICs
  • Proficiency with SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS technologies
  • Proven track record delivering high-performance analog ICs to volume production
  • Strong communication in multicultural environments and teamwork
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel outside Italy

The opportunity

Huawei Milan Research Center is looking for an Analog RFIC Design Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the study, design and development activities of integrated circuits.

You will work in a fast-paced international team engaged in state of the art research and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design of high-performance Analog ICs applied to integrated optical transceiver modules, including simulation, design, verification and optimization

  • Analyze technical requirement specifications and define target product performance by collaborating with system engineers

  • Drive and support layout activity for the physical design of building blocks and top levels

  • Contribute to feasibility studies, compare different solutions and proactively share knowledge and best practices within the team

Required Qualifications
  • Master degree in Engineering, PhD will be positively evaluated

  • At least 10 years of experience in analog/RFIC design environment with hands- on design knowledge of complex IC

  • Experience in Cadence Design Framework and analog/RF design practices, from circuit layout implementation to testing

  • Creative design ability to solve analog IC design problems demanding the highest levels of performance

  • Proficient working with state-of-the-art technologies - SiGe BiCMOSs, CMOS.

  • Proven track record of designing high performance complex analog IC designs into volume production

  • Good communication skills, ability to work in multi-cultural environments, strong team working attitude

  • Fluent in English and availability to travel outside Italy

Huawei Milan Research Center

This position is based in Huawei Milan Research Center.

At our Research Center we work on cutting-edge technologies in microwave and millimeter-wave communications, focusing on frequency bands such as E-Band, W-Band, and D-Band.

Our research extends to free-space optical communications, advanced system architectures, antenna technologies, and contributions to standardization efforts. We also develop active phased array systems, focusing on innovative architectures and antenna array technologies.

Additionally, we are engaged in research on optical RFICs, including drivers and transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), as well as microwave and millimeter-wave IC used in power amplifiers and front-end technologies.

Our research also covers HF technologies, advanced electromagnetics (EM), and also power integrity and high speed signal integrity in next-generation systems.

  • We offer a gross annual salary typically ranging from €60,000 to €80,000 determined according to objective criteria such as professional experience, competencies, and seniority.
  • Employees may also be considered for a discretionary annual bonus ranging from 0 to 2 monthly salaries, subject to company evaluation.
  • The applicable collective bargaining agreement is the CCNL Telecommunications, within levels 6° and 7°.
