Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and external customers. You will greet patients, verify registration and insurance, coordinate appointments, and assist with billing support to ensure accurate service delivery.

In this day-time role, you will work closely with clinicians to maintain smooth patient flow, communicate effectively, and support day-to-day office operations while delivering outstanding customer

Qualifications

• Education as required: High School Diploma or GED; relevant coursework in insurance/billing preferred.
• Experience in customer service or medical/office settings is beneficial.
• No licenses or certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
