BB&E Consulting Engineers and Professionals seeks a full-time Structural Engineer to support NAVFAC EURAFCENT from Naples, Italy, with periodic travel to NSA Bahrain and other EURAFCENT sites. The role emphasizes independent structural design, calculations, and coordination across architecture and project management teams.

Requirements include 5+ years of civil/structural experience, ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, and PE registration preferred.

Competenze

• Five+ years of professional civil/structural engineering experience for code-compliant facilities design
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural engineering
• Professional Engineer registration in civil/structural engineering preferred

Mansioni

• Provide independent, timely structural engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Navy facilities
• Support military construction, demolition, renovation, and facilities development requirements
• Calculate environmental and blast loads; analyze and design vertical and lateral force-resisting systems
• Design foundations, retaining structures, utility supports using concrete, steel, and timber
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specs, and RFPS
• Review design submittals and provide comments at 35%, 65%, and 100% design stages
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, planners, and project managers for interdisciplinary work
• Apply DoD and Navy criteria, guide specs, codes, and standard practices
• Prepare analyses, consolidate findings, and present design study results
• Support budgeting, planning, and management; lead teams as required
