Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Vessel Manager for the Installation Fleet, based in Milano. You will manage Company-owned vessels in collaboration with a ship management partner, ensuring compliance with international standards and maintaining necessary certifications and documents.

You will monitor costs, assist in multi-year plans, and coordinate offshore crews and equipment logistics for cable installation projects. A strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience as a ship technical superintendent or similar.
• Experience with ISM, SOLAS, ISPS, MARPOL regulations.
• Proven track in maritime environment and ship management practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet expenses align with the annual Prysmian Management Plan and budgets.
• Assist Fleet Manager in creating the vessel Management Plan and multi-year investments.
• Oversee ship management company purchasing processes and supplier invoicing compliance.
• Coordinate crewing through the ship management company and supervise on-site personnel.
• Identify and involve offshore resources in pre-project planning for successful delivery.
• Collaborate with Fleet Manager and technical functions on vessel layout and equipment modifications.
• Support selection and charter of vessels of opportunity and manage mobilization and operations.
• Ensure vessel documents and certificates are maintained per industry standards and accessible to Installation Department.
• Promote personal safety and safe working practices in line with HSE procedures.
