Saipem in Milan, Italy, is seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer (hull specialist) to support the Naval Department on ENCAR projects. You will review technical documentation, contribute to the structural design brief, and liaise with project specialists.

You should have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering and at least 5 years’ offshore structural experience; English and Italian (C1) required; a permanent contract with hybrid working options is offered.

As Offshore Structural Engineer (hull specialist), you will respond to the Head of Naval Department and be part of the ENCAR.

How can you support us?

• Review Client technical documentation and requirements
• Contribute to the writing of the Project Structural Design Brief (roadmap of all the structural design and analyses work on the project)
• Liaise with other Project Specialists and Designers whenever required for a proper completion of the work assigned
• Design structural systems and components, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in terms of costs, fabrication simplicity, constructability and safety and supervise setting up of bill of quantities or material take off (MTO)
• Verify structural strength or dynamic behaviour of items designed by others (piping support specialists, vendors, technical building suppliers, etc.)

What are we looking for?

Education: Master’s degree/bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering

Experience: minimum 5 years as offshore structural engineer within structured companies

Languages: English (C1), Italian (C1)
