Saipem Offshore Construction is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to supervise trenching equipment modifications and upgrades, from requirements analysis through final validation, and to develop technical solutions and documentation. You will provide offshore operational support through all project phases, while managing procurement and supervising upgrade implementations.

Required is a Mechanical Engineering degree with >2 years’ experience; knowledge of corrosion in marine environments is

Competenze

• Education: Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Experience: pref. >2years.
• Technical Skills: Oligodynamic and/or knowledge of corrosion processes and behavior of metallic materials in marine environment is preferred.

Mansioni

• Manage the engineering cycle for the assigned trenching equipment modifications and upgrades, from requirements analysis to final validation.
• Develop technical solutions, supervise the preparation of technical documentation (drawings, structural calculations, functional specifications) necessary for implementing modifications and upgrades to trenching equipment.
• Provide technical support to offshore operations during all phases of trenching Projects, preparations, mobilization, operations and demobilization, providing technical issues to preserve the Project schedule.
• Manage the procurement process for specialized technical components, developing technical specifications, evaluating supplier proposals, and conducting technical bid evaluations.
• Supervise the execution phase of the implementation of technical upgrades and/or corrective maintenance, ensuring correct implementation of designed engineering solutions.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

What are we looking for?
