Aretè & Cocchi Technology is looking for a Civil and Structural Engineer to design steel and reinforced concrete structures. You will engage in design optimization and provide support on-site or in fabrication yards.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or renewable sectors. The role offers a hybrid working model and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

Mansioni

As Civil and Structural Engineer, you will respond to the Head of Civil Department and be part of the ENCAR.

Responsibilities

• Design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures and foundation works, where required, it will be necessary to develop studies and calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works, steel structures (including connection details) and steel modules structures (including pre-service design), and preparation of design specifications for steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Review contract project technical documentation, requirements and of technical documentation developed by engineering suppliers
• Support the Discipline Lead in technical interface with Client and other internal and external interfaces
• Set up and execute assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Civil and Structural discipline, pursuing objectives of sound engineering and design optimization in term of costs, fabrication ease and safety
• Provide remote and/or on-site support to the engineering activities at site and/or at fabrication Yard

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience: minimum 5 years as Civil and Structural Engineer within oil & gas, petrochemical, renewable or floaters sectors

Technical/IT Skills

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in the structural design of steel and concrete structures and foundations related to Energy and Industrial plants.
• Knowledge of International structural design codes (i.e. US codes, British Standards and Eurocodes) is required.
• Experience is requested in the design of modular steel structures, including in-place and pre-service analysis; knowledge of codes, standards and design guidelines for module design (i.e. API, ISO, DNV, etc.)
• Experience in coordination of subcontractor activities and support to site activity, as well as management of interface with Client, Vendors, Fabrication Yards and other technical departments.
• Advanced familiarity with the Microsoft Office package.
• Advanced knowledge of software and tools for structural design (such as SAP2000, STAAD PRO, SACS and similar)
• Basic knowledge of tools related to 2D drawing and 3D modeling (e.g. CAD, TEKLA STRUCTURES)
• Knowledge of IdeaStatica is preferred
