Saipem Offshore Construction in Italy seeks an Offshore Installation Analyses Engineer to join the Asset Based Services team. You will perform and supervise offshore installation analyses, assist in technology selection, and support vessel operations on campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Naval, or Civil Engineering, 2–3 years’ experience, and strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Competenze

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Naval or Civil Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in offshore engineering or related fields.
• Familiarity with structural mechanics/hydrodynamics and offshore installation methods.
• Proficiency with engineering analysis software (MATLAB, Python, OrcaFlex) is a plus.

Mansioni

• Perform and/or supervise offshore installation analyses.
• Learn and/or improve offshore installation analysis methodologies.
• Contribute to selection of offshore installation spreads/methods and define operational limits.

Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects.

Purpose of the position: As Offshore Installation Analyses Engineer, you will be part of the Asset Based Services Business Line.

How can you support us?

• Perform and/or supervise the correct execution of Offshore Installation Analyses
• Learn and/or improve the capabilities in Offshore Installation Analyses methodology
• Contribute and assist with the selection of Offshore Installation spread/methods, perform Offshore Installation engineering analyses and define Offshore Installation operational limits
• Participate in the offshore activities during the vessel operation campaign ensuring support to vessel team and collect relevant feedback and lesson learned

What are we looking for?

Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Naval or Civil Engineering

Background: 2-3 years of experience

Technical Knowledge and Soft Skills:

• Fundamentals of structural mechanics and hydrodynamics
• Basic knowledge of offshore installation engineering
• Familiarity with engineering analysis software (e.g. MATLAB, Python, OrcaFlex) is considered an advantage
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and communication abilities

What else should you know?

Availability to travel offshore and work onboard installation vessels during operational campaigns is required.
