SBM Offshore is seeking an Intern Mechanical Design Engineer in Monaco to contribute to the development of an oscillatory test bench for offshore swivel systems. The role supports maintenance and reliability studies of critical offshore equipment within SBM Offshore’s mechanical design team.

The internship lasts 4 to 6 months, Monaco based, with collaboration across design, analysis, manufacturing and technology specialists. Fluent English is required for a multidisciplinary environment.

Formación

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in mechanical design and offshore engineering.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and engineering calculations.
• Understanding of numerical simulation methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the development of an oscillatory test bench for offshore swivel systems.
• Perform mechanical design activities and 3D modelling of the test equipment.
• Carry out engineering calculations and numerical simulations to size and optimize the test bench.
• Support maintenance and reliability studies for offshore equipment.
• Work closely with design, analysis, manufacturing and technology specialists.
• Contribute to solving industrial challenges related to equipment reliability, maintenance optimization and life extension of offshore assets.
