Job summary

SBM Offshore in Italy is offering an Offshore Installation Engineering internship designed to bridge classroom learning with real project execution. You will join an active project team and support offshore installation planning, lifting, rigging, and execution preparation under experienced engineers.

This role focuses on developing procedures, creating sketches with AutoCAD, performing preliminary analyses, and learning how disciplines interact across the project lifecycle to deliver offshore

Qualifications

Master's-level engineering student seeking hands-on offshore experience.
Strong analytical abilities and comfort with multidisciplinary collaboration.
Good written and verbal English communication; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support development of offshore installation procedures and method statements.
Participate in rigging design activities, including lifting arrangements and equipment selection.
Contribute to preliminary installation analyses and feasibility assessments.
Prepare engineering sketches and installation drawings using AutoCAD.
Assist in defining installation sequences and operational constraints.
Participate in risk identification and operational reviews.
Support the preparation of engineering deliverables for offshore execution.
