Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an Intern Mechanical Design Engineer in Monaco to contribute to the development of an oscillatory test bench for offshore swivel systems. The role supports maintenance and reliability studies of critical offshore equipment within SBM Offshore’s mechanical design team.

The internship lasts 4 to 6 months, Monaco based, with collaboration across design, analysis, manufacturing and technology specialists. Fluent English is required for a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in mechanical design and offshore engineering.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and engineering calculations.
• Understanding of numerical simulation methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluent English.

Purpose

As part of SBM Offshore's Mechanical Design Engineering team in Monaco, you will contribute to the development of an innovative oscillatory test bench supporting maintenance and reliability studies of offshore swivel systems, a critical component of FPSO weathervaning technology.

4 to 6 months internship contract, Monaco based.
