Empire Tours & Productions is seeking a hands-on City Manager for Milan to build and operate the local business. You will personally guide tours during launch, recruit and train staff, and develop from-scratch tour portfolios with the Empire team.

Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial, bilingual in English and Italian, and have certified tour guiding credentials with prior operational or management experience in tourism or related fields. This role offers growth across Italy.

Competenze

Certified/licensed Tour Guide in Italy (required) — important for early launch Tours.
Fully bilingual in English and Italian (required).
Prior operational or management experience.
Strong knowledge of Milan.
Experience hiring, supervising or developing staff.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership.
Hands-on work approach rather than purely office-based.

Mansioni

Oversee Empire's daily Milan tour and experience operations.
Research, write, test and launch Milan's tour portfolio from scratch.
Personally guide tours during launch and ramp-up.
Recruit, train, schedule and manage tour guides and staff.
Maintain high standards for customer experience and tour quality.
Develop relationships with attractions, venues, hotels, and transport partners.
Identify exclusive inventory, partnerships and ancillary revenue.
Manage scheduling, staffing levels and operational logistics.
Monitor product-level sales and financial performance.
Collaborate with marketing and distribution teams to improve performance.
Resolve operational issues quickly and support expansion to other Italian cities.
Develop local processes for replication elsewhere in Italy.
