Job summary

We Don't Design is seeking an independent art advisor in Milan to shape the strategic positioning of limited editions within the contemporary art and collectible design ecosystem. You will identify placements with galleries, institutions, curators, and private collectors, while shaping narratives for exhibitions and publications.

You will build and sustain a network with critics, curators, gallerists, and cultural operators, and monitor market developments to guide edition strategy and pricing.

Qualifications

• Established network within contemporary art and collectible design sectors.
• Demonstrated advisory, curatorial, or art consultancy experience.
• Deep understanding of cultural and commercial dynamics of limited edition objects.
• Ability to work autonomously within shared aesthetic and intellectual values.
• Fluent in English; Italian and other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise on strategic positioning of editions within the contemporary art and collectible design ecosystem.
• Identify and develop placement opportunities with galleries, institutions, curators, and private collectors.
• Provide curatorial guidance on how editions are presented, narrated, and contextualized in exhibitions and publications.
• Cultivate and maintain a network of relationships with critics, curators, gallerists, and cultural operators.
• Monitor and interpret developments across the art and design market to inform edition strategy and pricing.
• Collaborate with the founder on the long-term cultural trajectory of the brand.
