Vertiv in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive engineered-to-order designs for large power distribution and switching cabinets for data centers. You will create CAD models, generate BOMs, and manage engineering changes within PLM, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and cost targets.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree with extensive CAD experience, familiarity with UL standards, and collaboration across departments to ensure

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong planning, organizing, documentation and communication skills.
• 3D CAD experience is a must; Solid Edge or Creo with sheet metal experience.
• Oracle PLM experience is a plus, and experience with simulations (ANSYS) is desirable.

Mansioni

• Create 3D models using sheet metal and part modeling functionality in CAD.
• Create complex drawings and bills of materials for sheet metal, bus bar, and assemblies.
• Write, submit, release engineering changes to new and released product documentation in CAD and PLM.
• Work with cross functional groups with the same goals for the project.
• Ability to interpret agency design standards (UL) for our products.
• Interact with ETO team members to breakdown tasks and discuss design ideas.
