Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Engineering Department in creating and managing technical documentation for screw compressors used in biogas applications. You will work closely with design, production, quality, and purchasing teams, leveraging 2D/3D CAD and solid drafting skills to ensure feasible, high-quality designs.

The role requires familiarity with SolidWorks 3D, strong English (B2), and the ability to autonomously contribute within a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Preferably some type of technical education in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical, or equivalent.
• English level B2 required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks 3D.
• High degree of autonomy and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical designers in creating and updating drawings and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Perform dimensional checks on machines during assembly and finishing phases.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing to revise drawings, manage specifications, and resolve non-conformities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions).
• Apply knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes to ensure feasibility and quality.
• Manage technical documentation within company systems (PDM/PLM).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and engineering processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Preferably some type of technical education, either intermediate or higher level (preferably in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical, or High school Diploma).
• Languages: English level B2
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Solidworks 3D
• High degree of autonomy, while also capable of working in multidisciplinary teams.

• Fully site-based at Isola Vicentina (VI).
