Job summary

The Mechanical Design Engineer role at Ingersoll Rand plc is based at the Isola Vicentina site and focuses on developing and managing technical documentation for screw compressors used in biogas applications. The role requires CAD proficiency, knowledge of mechanical drawings, and collaboration across design, production, quality and purchasing teams.

Work is site-based with a focus on continuous improvement of engineering processes and the management of technical documentation in PDM/PLM

Qualifications

• Technical education in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• SolidWorks 3D experience.
• Autonomous and able to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and update technical drawings and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Perform dimensional checks during assembly and finishing.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Purchasing to revise drawings and manage specs.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, BOMs and assembly instructions.
• Maintain technical documentation in PDM/PLM.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes.
