G.D, based in Bologna, Italy, is seeking a versatile Cost Analyst to join the Machine Cost Analysis Team. You will support cost simulations and evaluations on new prototypes and established machines/lines.

Collaborating with Engineering, Operations and technical offices, you will review bills of materials, analyze deviations between actual and budgeted costs, and identify technical drivers for cost reduction.

Competenze

• A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrialization, methods & time analysis, production engineering, cost engineering, or similar technical environments
• Good knowledge of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex technical and cost-related data
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of the Office Suite
• Good knowledge of English language (B2), both written and spoken
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered a plus
• You are curious, detail-oriented and rigorous, with a genuine interest in understanding how complex machines are designed and manufactured
• You are proactive, organized and precise, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and teams

• Support cost simulations and estimates for machines and complete packaging lines
• Analyze actual industrial costs and compare them with budgeted or standard costs
• Review complex bills of materials and large data files to understand machine cost structures
• Identify and explain the main causes of deviation from expected costs, focusing on technical and production drivers
• Contribute to cost reduction activities by analyzing components, technologies and manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and technical offices to ensure accurate and reliable cost analysis
