G.D, based in Bologna, Italy, is seeking a versatile Cost Analyst to join the Machine Cost Analysis Team. You will support cost simulations and evaluations on new prototypes and established machines/lines.

Collaborating with Engineering, Operations and technical offices, you will review bills of materials, analyze deviations between actual and budgeted costs, and identify technical drivers for cost reduction.

Competenze

• A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrialization, methods & time analysis, production engineering, cost engineering, or similar technical environments
• Good knowledge of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex technical and cost-related data
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of the Office Suite
• Good knowledge of English language (B2), both written and spoken
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered a plus
• You are curious, detail-oriented and rigorous, with a genuine interest in understanding how complex machines are designed and manufactured
• You are proactive, organized and precise, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and teams

About the Role

Within the Machine Cost Analysis Team, the candidate will support the analysis of machine and line costs, working on both new prototypes and consolidated machines/lines.

This role combines a technical understanding of complex automatic machines with a strong analytical approach to cost evaluation, with the objective of identifying cost deviations, understanding their root causes and supporting cost reduction initiatives.

The candidate will work closely with technical departments, Operations and other internal stakeholders to analyze machine baselines, compare actual costs against budget/standard costs, and interpret cost deltas through a technical perspective.

In particular, the selected resource will be responsible for:

• supporting cost simulations and estimates for machines and complete packaging lines;
• analyzing actual industrial costs and comparing them with budgeted or standard costs;
• reviewing complex bills of materials and large data files to understand machine cost structures;
• identifying and explaining the main causes of deviation from expected costs, with a focus on technical and production-related drivers;
• contributing to cost reduction activities by analyzing components, technologies and manufacturing processes;
• collaborating with Engineering, Operations and technical offices to ensure accurate and reliable cost analysis.

What You Need to Be Successful

Our Offer

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from EUR 33,000 to EUR 37,000.

A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy.

The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico.
