Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance & Facility Specialist for our new start-up site in Alessandria, Italy. The role requires a hands-on professional with a strong operational mindset to manage maintenance, facilities, and related activities on the shop floor.

You will coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance, supervise contractors, and ensure safe, efficient operations in a structured logistics environment. Fluency in English is required and a technical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Maintenance, Facility Management, Technical Services, or Engineering roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Fluent English.
• Hands-on professional with a strong operational mindset.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, efficiency, and availability of site equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring SLAs and safety standards.
• Support maintenance of material handling systems, utilities, HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment, and fire protection.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and drive rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HSE, and stakeholders for site performance.
• Help implement maintenance processes, procedures and best practices during start-up.
• Monitor KPIs and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and inspections.

We are seeking a hands-on professional with a strong operational mindset, comfortable working directly on the shop floor and personally managing maintenance and facility activities within complex logistics or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of site equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with service levels and safety standards.
• Support the maintenance of material handling systems, utilities, HVAC, electrical and mechanical equipment, and fire protection systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and drive rapid resolution to minimize operational downtime.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, HSE, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless site performance.
• Support the implementation of maintenance processes, procedures, and best practices during the start-up phase.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, safety requirements, and technical inspections.

What we need from you:

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Maintenance, Facility Management, Technical Services, or Engineering roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or other structured industrial environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively in fast-paced operational environments.

Salary Package: €32,000 - €38,000 gross annual salary
