Job summary

Accorhotel's Orient Express property in Rome seeks a P&C Manager to lead strategic HR initiatives and oversee end-to-end HR operations, including crew planning, shift scheduling and labour relations. You will translate business priorities into people strategies, ensure luxury service standards, manage HR budgets, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

Fluency in Italian and English is required, with 5+ years in a senior HR role in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior HR role, knowledge of the railway sector is mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of industrial and union relations for the sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Italian and English.
• Hands-on and strategic.
• Proficiency with HR systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the HR strategy aligned with the General Manager and Orient Express guidelines.
• Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, payroll, and personnel administration.
• Translate business priorities into effective people strategies and HR solutions.
• Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and alignment with the brand identity and luxury positioning.
• Update, review and ensure compliance with LQA/Forbes.
• Co-lead with Finance the planning and monitoring of employment costs and department budget.
• Monitor crew-related KPIs, including resources, absenteeism, shift coverage, and rest period compliance.
• Maintain structured relationships with trade unions and manage disputes and grievances.
• Promote a culture of well-being, engagement and excellence across departments.
