The Meliá Hotels International Milano team seeks a skilled waiter/head waiter to coordinate high-level dining service and lead a professional team. You will ensure SOPs, supervise service flow, and deliver courteous guest experiences in a dynamic hotel setting.

Fluent English and strong leadership are essential, with at least 2 years as a waiter and 1 year in a head waiter role preferred. This on-site position offers growth within a global hospitality group.

Competenze

• Leadership and guest-focused service experience required.
• Minimum 2 years as waiter; head waiter 1 year preferred.
• Education: secondary or higher; hospitality training preferred.
• Fluent English; local language; third language an asset.

• Supervise and support the team in accordance with supervisor directives and hotel standards.
• Oversee the readiness and proper use of all service equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a polished, professional, and approachable demeanor at all times.
• Ensure accurate and timely service, strictly following SOPs.
• Check orders for accuracy and presentation before delivery.
• Coordinate service flow, preventing delays, accidents, or breakages.
• Respond to guest feedback effectively and elevate complex issues when necessary.
• Uphold hotel policies regarding punctuality, appearance, and conduct.
• Lead by example during service and actively participate in briefings and training sessions.
• Foster personalized interactions, anticipating and responding to guest needs.
• Manage guest complaints promptly, involving supervisors when needed.
• Actively promote the hotel’s offerings, experiences, and signature events.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols by the service team.
