Te Connectivity in Siena is seeking a Tooling Development Engineer to lead end-to-end development of tooling-based termination machines for high-volume wire harness production. You will guide cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions that meet quality, cost, and lead-time targets.

You will apply risk assessment and on-site support to ensure safe and reliable designs, while driving innovation and supplier collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent practical experience accepted.
• >3 years of product development and engineering experience.
• ≥2 years of industrial automation experience.

Mansioni

• Lead machine development projects from concept to commissioning.
• Act as technical lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and trends.
• Develop machines meeting performance, quality, cost, reliability, and lead time requirements.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and review supplier designs.
• Ensure compliance with CE and other applicable standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis and risk assessments including FMEA.
• Provide on-site testing, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning support.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, designs, and detailed drawings.
• Review designs for feasibility, manufacturability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness.
