TE Connectivity Ltd. in Bari, Puglia, is seeking a Tooling Development Engineer to lead end-to-end development of termination machines for high-volume wire harness production.

You will guide cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions, with focus on cost, lead time, quality, and safety. You will review supplier designs, perform risk assessments including FMEA, provide on-site testing and commissioning support, and ensure designs meet CE and other

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years product development/engineering; 2+ years industrial automation experience.

Mansioni

• Lead machine development projects from concept to commissioning.
• Act as technical lead coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and trends.
• Develop machines meeting performance, quality, cost, reliability and lead time.
• Collaborate with global suppliers and review supplier designs.
• Ensure CE and applicable standards compliance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and risk assessments including FMEA.
• Provide on-site testing, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning support.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, designs and detailed drawings.
• Review designs for manufacturability, maintainability and cost-effectiveness.
