TE Connectivity Ltd in Italy is seeking a Tooling Development Engineer to lead development of industrial termination machines for high-volume wiring harness production. You will drive projects end-to-end from concept through commissioning, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring performance, cost, reliability, and CE-compliance targets are met.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in product development and automation, strong CAD skills (Creo/SolidWorks/Inventor), and fluent English, with a
Competenze
- Degree in mechanical/mechatronics/automation or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in product development/engineering.
- 2+ years in industrial automation.
- Experience performing risk assessments and leading Design/Process FMEA.
Mansioni
- Lead machine development projects from concept to commissioning.
- Act as technical lead coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Drive innovation by identifying new technologies and trends.
- Develop machines meeting performance, quality, cost, reliability and lead-time goals.
- Collaborate with global suppliers and review supplier designs.
- Ensure CE compliance and applicable standards.
- Lead root-cause analysis and risk assessment activities.
- Provide on-site support for testing, installation, startup and commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain technical specs and detailed drawings.
- Review designs for feasibility, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
