Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. in Milan is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead secondary engineering for substations and industrial power systems, from concept through commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams for high‑quality outcomes.

You will develop protection and control schemes, review specs, and support FAT/SAT activities while ensuring compliance with grid codes and safety standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in secondary engineering for substations or industrial power systems.
• Knowledge of protection concepts and FAT/SAT processes.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning.
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Italian.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate secondary electrical design for substations from concept to implementation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Prepare, review, and validate technical specifications, equipment selections, and key deliverables such as SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Develop and verify protection and control schemes, perform engineering calculations, and support FAT and SAT activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, grid codes, and Hitachi Energy safety requirements.
• Collaborate with civil, primary, protection, and control engineers to ensure interfaces and cabling efficiency.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders on secondary engineering matters.
• Support project execution by assessing scope changes, managing risks and opportunities, and contributing to scheduling and change management.
• Contribute to tendering by preparing engineering estimates and risk assessments.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and customer handover while building relationships and driving continuous improvement.
