SSE plc is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Italy, with Rome as the base location. This role involves technical leadership from development through construction, commissioning and handover.

You will help deliver a pipeline of onshore wind, solar PV and energy storage projects; you will influence key decisions, ensure safety, cost-effectiveness and high technical standards while supporting SSE Renewables' growth

Competenze

Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or Energy Engineering with substantial utility-scale project experience.
Experience delivering renewable energy projects in Italy is preferred.
Strong understanding of engineering standards, permits and development processes in Italy.

Mansioni

Lead engineering delivery across Italy, acting as technical authority from development to handover.
Drive optimisation of designs, studies and specs for safe, compliant projects.
Provide technical leadership during development, procurement and contractor selection.
Manage consultants, OEMs and contractors and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Identify risks and promote safety by design and value engineering.
