Job summary

Baker Hughes Company in Florence, Italy is seeking an Engineer to design Electrical and Instrumentation arrangements for compressors, gas/steam turbine applications and to model instrumentation loops using NX. You will contribute to introducing new cost-effective solutions and optimizing installations.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Instrumentation fields, proven engineering experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

BSc. or MSc. in Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Management, Biomedical Computer Science Engineering.
Proven working experience in an engineering position for electrical or instrumentation design.
Proficient in instrumentation design and related development tools; knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and motivate others.
Familiar with 3D Modelling tools (NX) / knowledge on electrical installation and cable routing.
Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

Design Electrical and Instrumentation arrangements following International Standards (e.g., ATEX, CSA, NEC/NEMA, IECEx).
Model instrumentation loop arrangements using 3D software based on installation conditions.
Design SMART instrumentation configurations to reduce susceptibility to electrical and electromagnetic noise.
Optimize electrical installation to standardize solutions in collaboration with Manufacturing.
