Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop Gas Turbine products, solutions, and systems. The role involves leading GT design activities, interfacing with multiple departments, and ensuring robust mechanical designs for new units and service projects.

The position requires a Master's or Bachelor’s in Engineering with relevant GT experience, strong modeling skills, and the ability to travel/relocate to Florence, Italy. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering/Technology or a Bachelor’s with relevant GT experience.
4+ years of mechanical design experience.
Excellent knowledge of modeling tools (NX, Ansys) and experience with non-conformities management.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Turbines and Axial Expanders Organization (TAEE), NPD, Supply Chain, Commercial and Quality teams.
Perform feasibility studies and CAD modeling for GT components; release drawings and manage part codes.
Cover turbine configuration selection and manage New Units and Service projects.
Utilize tools like Ansys or NX for analysis and design work.
Lead rotodynamic analysis and contribute to product development and production alignment.
Participate in industrialization, standardization and production flow initiatives.
