Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Testing Engineer in Italy to lead unit validation testing for centrifugal compressors, steam turbines and turboexpanders. You will prepare, set up and execute tests, delivering comprehensive reports and ensuring safety, quality, and process compliance.

The role requires 4+ years in mechanical or electrical testing, ability to read complex drawings, and fluency in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or technical/engineering high school with 4+ years in mechanical/electrical activities
• Able to interpret technical drawings (test procedures, wiring diagrams, P&ID)
• Knowledge of mechanical processing
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in testing activities
• Highly motivated and committed

Responsibilities

• Execute unit validation tests and data acquisition for product validation
• Draw accurate testing reports with contractual data for customers
• Read technical documents and coordinate test bench activities safely per EHS & Quality rules
• Collaborate with Engineering and Testing teams on technical issues
• Maintain reliability of testing assets and support customers
• Assist in designing and developing new test facilities and instrumentation systems
• Contribute to test schedules with detailed information
