Jobgether is offering a leadership role for a Lead Data Platform Engineer (German Speaker) based in Italy. You will own the platform's architecture, operations, and long-term roadmap, guiding cloud-native solutions and data quality while mentoring the team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply AI-assisted engineering practices, and shape a scalable data ecosystem with high autonomy and impact.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating production-grade cloud-native data platforms.
• Fluent German (C1) is required, with good English for technical collaboration and documentation.

Mansioni

• Own the end-to-end data platform strategy, architecture, and operational roadmap.
• Lead the continuous optimization of a cloud-native data platform for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee data ingestion, streaming pipelines, batch processing, data modeling, quality assurance, and reporting workflows.
• Strengthen platform observability with monitoring, alerting, incident management, and best practices.
• Define engineering standards for documentation, testing, infrastructure, and AI-assisted development.
• Drive AI-native engineering practices, including AI-powered coding, testing, and code quality reviews.
• Collaborate with product, customer-facing teams, leadership, and external specialists.
• Mentor engineers and establish sustainable ownership across core components.
