Hitachi Rail S.p.A. in Naples, Italy, is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join the Engineering Department on-site in Napoli. The role involves supporting bids and delivery across international teams.

You will coordinate cross-functional activities, prepare technical documentation, and help manage requirements, verification, and validation as the project evolves. A Master's in Engineering is required, with English B2.

Competenze

• Basic knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies.
• Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to coordinate multiple functional teams across different engineering disciplines.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong organizational skills, teamwork, problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers).
• Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips.

Mansioni

• Plan, monitor and coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery.
• Coordinate project teams across engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with requirements, standards, budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Prepare project documentation (bid and execution phase), including technical proposals and engineering plans.
• Maintain Product Data Sheet (PDS) and support cost consolidation for bids.
• Ensure submission of System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for suppliers.
• Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and verify requirements compliance.
• Act as the primary technical interface with the customer and manage project documentation.
• Lead design reviews with internal teams and customers.
• Monitor progress, report KPI and risks, escalate when needed.
• Coordinate testing activities to ensure verification and validation.
• Support certification strategy and vehicle approval documentation.
