Job summary

RINA seeks a Italy Marine Technical Support Junior Engineer to join the Napoli office in the Mediterranean and Africa Marine division. The role focuses on maintaining maritime safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance across complex ship operations.

A Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering is required, with at least one year in marine technical support. You will work with senior engineers and clients to troubleshoot issues and ensure adherence to SOLAS, MARPOL, and IACS rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in naval engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in marine technical support.
• Strong understanding of classification rules and regulations (IACS, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Experience in surveying, inspections, and KPI data analysis.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and communicate recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to shipowners, operators, and clients regarding compliance with classification rules and regulations and general marine engineering issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with senior engineers and clients to recommend solutions and address non-compliance identified during inspections.
• Support maintenance of KPI data for surveys, inspections, and technical assessments.
• Assist in preparing reports and data documenting findings, recommendations and compliance status.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, naval architects, and other professionals to deliver high-quality technical support and classification services.
