Job summary

Deel is seeking a founding product leader to own payroll, HR, and time-tracking solutions for Italy. You will partner with engineering, sales, implementation, and compliance teams to design market-ready products and scale Deel’s Southern Europe expansion.

You will balance aggressive timelines with regulatory rigor, leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and ensure CCNL/INPS compliance across regions. This is a high-impact, cross-country leadership role based in Europe.

Qualifications

• Based in EMEA with proximity to the Italian market.
• Fluent in Italian and English for coordination.
• Comfort with ambiguity and decision-making with incomplete information.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams and partners.
• Pragmatism and systems thinking connecting payroll, HR, time tracking and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy for the Italian market across payroll, HR, time, and services.
• Lead an engineering team to execute the roadmap.
• Coordinate dependencies across Product, Time, HRIS, and Services teams.
• Break complex requirements into iterative increments and ship fast.
• Own relationships with key accounts and validate solutions with customers.
• Collaborate with sales, implementation, and local compliance teams to enable scalable solutions.
• Think entrepreneurially to build a market entry playbook from scratch.
• Leverage AI to accelerate build and ensure regulatory compliance with local teams.
• Master Italian labor law (CCNL, INPS, regional variations) to ensure compliant solutions.
• Position Italy as the anchor market for Deel’s Southern Europe expansion.
