Job summary

TechTree is recruiting for a Business Development Lead in Italy to open and own a new market for an AI video intelligence company. Based in Milan or Rome, the role is hybrid, with the aim to build a robust network across public sector and large private operators to drive revenue.

You will leverage existing connections, move quickly from first contact to signed agreements, and coordinate with leadership on strategic deal decisions while staying deeply embedded in the Italian market.

Qualifications

• Experience in BD/sales across Italy, established network
• Native or fluent Italian and fluent English
• Familiarity with Italian public procurement and public-sector buyers
• Based in Italy (Milan or Rome preferred)
• Self-starter and fast-moving with comfort selling to security/public-sector buyers

Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and close BD opportunities with public sector bodies and large private operators across Italy
• Build and activate a trusted network of decision-makers — municipalities, government/defence-adjacent entities, transport, logistics and security operators
• Move fast from first contact to signed agreement, leveraging relationships you already have
• Act as the primary local point of contact, coordinating with leadership on deal strategy and occasional in-person visits
