Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Counsel, Offboarding & Litigation based in Italy. You will lead cross-border employment offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across EMEA, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and statutory requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to develop dispute resolution strategies, manage terminations and disciplinary proceedings, and translate complex legal issues into scalable processes and

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience in employment law within EMEA.
• Proven track record handling employment agency proceedings, tribunals, arbitrations, and disciplinary/hearings.
• Strong knowledge of EMEA employment legislation, including termination procedures and due process.
• Experience across multiple EMEA jurisdictions and offboarding requirements.
• Experience managing external counsel and budgeting legal fees.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end offboarding, pre-litigation, and litigation matters across EMEA.
• Manage disciplinary processes, statutory filings, and employment disputes in each jurisdiction.
• Conduct case intake, fact-finding, and risk assessments for employee relations matters.
• Lead or support hearings, conciliation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings.
• Draft and review termination notices, separation agreements, and supporting evidence.
• Evaluate litigation exposure and settlement costs, developing hearing strategies.
