Job summary

ING Italy is seeking an Investment Operations Specialist to join the Investment Operations team in Milan. The role focuses on settlements, custody, and administration of investment products with a strong emphasis on accuracy, controls, and compliance, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a background in banking or financial services operations, can manage multiple tasks under deadlines, and communicates effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in investment operations, securities, funds or financial services.
• Understanding of securities settlement, custody, fund distribution and related processes.
• Ability to work with procedures, controls and accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage settlement of securities and investment transactions with timely execution.
• Perform custody‑related operational activities for securities and investment products.
• Support operational management and distribution of investment funds and insurance products.
• Administer securities and investment funds across operational processes.
• Execute accounting activities related to securities and funds.
• Monitor processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory/compliance adherence.
• Perform controls and reconciliations to ensure transaction integrity.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support analysis and improvement of processes and controls.
• Collaborate with other functions and external counterparties in processing, settlement, custody and administration.
