Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician for Italy to install and service compressed air products. The role involves troubleshooting, educating customers on product functionality, and collaborating with Sales and Service teams.

You will travel daily within Italy and Europe as needed, with flexibility to work outside normal hours for urgent interventions. Aiming for strong diagnostics and customer-focused service, you will contribute to efficient service operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry (mechanical, chemical, plant design, installation).
• Daily travel within Italy and Europe to customer sites.
• Ability to work outside normal hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
• English language skills: Basic to intermediate English (B1).
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation activities at customer sites in accordance with Ingersoll Rand procedures and Health & Safety guidelines.
• Install new systems at customer locations, following a schedule shared with the Service Coordinator.
• Prepare and maintain assigned tools to ensure efficiency and success in all service interventions.
• Report any technical issues or complaints raised during commissioning and ensure efficient information flow for proper follow-up with customers and internal teams.
• Provide detailed reporting of activities, both internally and to customers.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Sales Support, Quality, Internal Aftermarket, Workshop, and Technical Support.
