World Food Programme based in Rome seeks an experienced IT leader to shape and deliver beneficiary services platforms. You will manage a small, skilled team of IT developers and work across architecture, product management, and operations to design and release solutions that meet high security and performance standards.

You will be responsible for creating scalable architecture, guiding CI/CD, and ensuring robust documentation and cross‑functional collaboration to support the organisation's

Competenze

• Advanced university degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or extensive IT experience.
• Five or more years of postgraduate progressively responsible professional IT experience (eight years without advanced degree).
• Fluency in English (level C).
• Intermediate knowledge of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (a WFP working language).

Mansioni

• Lead analysis and delivery of IT solutions in a large, distributed environment.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, other IT solution architects, operations, developers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Oversee CI/CD and security practices and ensure alignment with WFP standards.
• Provide technical direction to junior IT Solution Developers and offshore teams.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation and solution handovers.

Formazione

Advanced university degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Five+ years of postgraduate IT experience (eight years without advanced degree)

Fluency in English (C)

Second UN language knowledge (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese)
