The World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome seeks a senior IT leader to shape and deliver beneficiary services platforms within the Technology Division. You will manage a small team, guide IT solution design and procurement, and collaborate with architecture, operations, and product teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Applicants should have a strong background in server-side and cloud architectures, experience with Django, React, and PostgreSQL, and a track record of delivering complex IT

Competenze

• Advanced university degree in Computer Science or other relevant field.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible professional IT experience.
• Fluency (level C) in English.
• Intermediate knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead IT solution delivery, design, and implementation across teams.
• Develop and present IT solutions to Architecture Board for approval.
• Oversee CI/CD practices and maintain secure, robust environments.
• Coordinate with architects, product managers, and analysts to ensure successful releases.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and external partners.
