Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil Hydraulic Engineer to join our Power & Energy Services team in Rome or Rende. In this role you will contribute to hydraulic and hydrological studies, analyses and design activities for infrastructure, industrial, energy and water-resources projects.

You will collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental and BIM specialists to integrate design solutions and support technical discussions with clients, authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering; hydraulics focus preferred.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in hydraulic design or water management.
• Sound knowledge of hydrology, river hydraulics, urban drainage, modelling methodologies, and flood-risk management.
• Experience with hydrological and hydraulic modelling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM; AutoCAD; GIS.
• Professional proficiency in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydraulic and hydrological studies for infrastructure and water resources.
• Create hydraulic models of watercourses and drainage networks.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations, and permitting documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams; engage with clients and authorities.
