Job summary

WSP in Italia is seeking a Civil Hydraulic Engineer to join the Power & Energy Services team in Rome or Rende. The role is hybrid and full-time, contributing to hydraulic and hydrological studies, analyses and design for infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical and BIM specialists to integrate design solutions, support client discussions and ensure timely delivery within health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, hydraulics preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in hydraulic design, applied hydrology or water management.
• Knowledge of hydrology, river hydraulics, urban drainage and flood-risk standards.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling software and common CAD/GIS tools.
• Proficiency in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydraulic and hydrological studies for concept, detailed and construction design.
• Create and validate 1D/2D hydraulic models of watercourses and drainage systems.
• Design river-training works, channels, culverts and stormwater networks.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and permitting documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery.
