Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil Hydraulic Engineer to join the Power & Energy Services team in Rome or Rende. You will contribute to hydraulic and hydrological studies, analyses and design activities for infrastructure, industrial, energy and water-resources projects.

You will work with civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental and BIM specialists to integrate design solutions and support discussions with clients, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with hydraulics focus.
• Minimum three years of hydraulic design or hydrology experience.
• Knowledge of hydrology, river hydraulics, urban drainage, modeling methods.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM) & BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies for projects.
• Develop 1D/2D hydraulic models of watercourses and drainage networks.
• Design hydraulic infrastructure such as channels, culverts and stormwater systems.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, quantities take-offs and permitting documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders for timely delivery.
